On Saturday, September 23, the Fort Collins Eyeopeners Kiwanis Club helped Turning Point with their annual Awesome Toss’em Cornhole tournament. During this event, 100 two-person teams battle it out for supremacy over the fun game that mixes beanbags and wooden boards with holes in one end that is a favorite in Fort Collins.
Several Eyeopeners members volunteered to help set up the event, pour beer, and act as referees for the event that helps fundraise for a local non-profit partner of our club. While the weather may have been rainy and cooler, a fun time was had by all, participant or volunteer alike!
Turning Point is an organization that works to help teens and their families suffering from substance abuse problems by providing education and safe homes to those who need it. The Eyeopeners have partnered with this organization for many years and value the work this non-profit does in the community.
